Wakatipu District Youth Trust/Summit Youth Workers is seeking a motivated, experienced youth worker for a fixed term contract position commencing in July 2010.
 
Summit Youth Workers is a charitable trust with the purpose of advocating and supporting youth in the Wakatipu district. The trust has been in existence for 13 years and is managed by voluntary trustees.
 
You will be working with one other youth worker to deliver a range of services with a focus on facilitating activity groups. The role also involves a close working relationship with other social service agencies in the district. You must be passionate and knowledgeable about youth issues, trustworthy, have excellent communication skills, be well organised and be committed to the principles of the Youth Development Strategy Aotearoa.
 
Ideally you will have a relevant qualification, experience in youth work and a commitment to working in the Wakatipu. A current New Zealand driver’s licence is essential. Terms and conditions are negotiable for the right applicant.
