Environmental Context Statement:
The Cromwell Youth Worker Trust (CYWT) is based in Cromwell, Central Otago.  The office is based out of the Cromwell Youth Centre (The Hut), and the role maintains strong links with the local community.  The Organisation is a member trust of the Central Lakes Regional Youth Trust and the Central Otago Youth Workers Network (COYWN), which is belongs tot eh National Youth Workers Newtork Aotearoa (NYWNA).  The Youth Worker and all other associated workers (voluntary or otherwise), ahdere to the NYWNA Code of Ethics.
 
The CYWT acknowledges the importance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and as such promotes and supports postive Youth Develpment for young Tangata Whanua, along with members of other minority groups withing the Cromwell Community.
 
The work carried out by the CYWT is driven by the Youth Development Stategy, as produced by the Ministry of Youth Development. 
 
The 6 principles of Youth Development as outlined by the Youth Development Strategy that CYWT adheres to:
1. Youth development is shaped by the 'big picture'.
2. Youth develpement is about young people being connected.
3. Youth development is based on a consistant strenght-based approach.
4. Youth development happens through quality relationships.
5. Youth development is triggered when young people fully participate.
6. Youth development needs good information.
